Dengan casing berbahan aluminium yang berbobot tak lebih dari 1,3 kg kesan sederhana dan elegan kentara sekali pada Laptop Acer Aspire P3-171 Core i5.
Sekalipun memiliki dimensi yang sangat tipis hampir semua interface yang diperlukan bisa ditemukan pada Laptop Acer Aspire P3-171 Core i5 ini seperti port micro HDMI, USB 3.0, microphone, headphone/speaker ditambah kamera resolusi 720 pixel yang terletak di bagian atas. Sayang slot card reader belum menjadi bagian dari kelengkapan Laptop Acer Aspire terbaru ini.
